We will walk you through the robust steps of setting up the mail on iPhone.
Step 1 – Go to Settings > Mail
Open the iPhone Settings app and tap on Mail.
Step 2 – Tap Accounts
Scroll down and tap on Accounts.
Step 3 – Tap Add Account
Set you your email account by choosing “Add Account” option.
Step 4 – Tap Other
Choose Other as the type of account from the list of account options.
Step 5 – Tap Add Mail Account
Proceed further by adding the “Mail Account” at the screen top.
Step 6 – Enter Your Account Details
Enter the following details of email account you are adding:
Name: The user name that your recipients will see.
Email: The email address you wish to add.
Password: The password associated with your Webmail account.
Description: A name for this account as it appears on your device.
Tap Next to continue.
Step 7 – Select IMAP
Select IMAP as your account type.
Step 8 – Enter Your Server Settings
Input the following server settings:
- Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name:………..
- Username: Your email address
- Password: The password you use for Webmail
- Outgoing Mail Server:……………..
Host Name:
- Username: Your email address
- Password: The password you use for Webmail
Tap Next to proceed.
Note: Even if the Outgoing Mail Server username and password fields are marked optional, they must be filled in for proper functionality.
Step 9 – Save the Account
Disable all Notes syncing. To check, slider should be grey. Click Save to complete the setup.
Step 10 – Tap the Account You Added
Find and select the email account you are just adding, identifiable by its description.
Step 11 – Open Account Settings
Tap the email account again to access its settings.
Step 12 – Tap Advanced
Scroll down at the bottom of the screen and tap on Advanced option.
Step 13 – Check Mailbox Behaviours
Check all the following Mailbix behaviors are configured correctly:
Drafts Mailbox: Drafts
Sent Mailbox: Sent
Deleted Mailbox: Trash
Archive Mailbox: Archive
To set the correct folder, tap on each mailbox and select the corresponding folder on the server. If a folder is missing, log in to Webmail, place an email in the unavailable folder, and try again.
Note: If the folder does not appear, log in to Webmail, place an email in the unavailable folder, and then try again.
Step 14 – Enter IMAP Path Prefix
Scroll down to the bottom of the Advanced settings and type INBOX (all capitals) as the IMAP Path Prefix.
Step 15 – Save Settings
Tap Account in the upper-left corner, then tap Done to save your settings.
Step 16 – All Set!
Kudos! Your email account is now successfully setup on your iPhone. Use it for your communication.
