How to install cPanel on linux CentOS?

cPanel is the widely used control panel to manage websites, emails, services, addons, etc. cPanel is user friendly and can be installed with ease.

When it comes to System requirements, you don’t need to have a high configuration server/machine. A 1.1 GHz Processor, 1 GB RAM with 20GB of disk space (for storage) is required at it’s minimum. It is always recommended that a system exceeds minimum requirements for better performance and functionality.

cPanel is compatible with CentOS versions 5.x/6.x/7.x, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x/6.x/7.x & CloudLinux 5.x/6.x/7.x. It supports both architecture i386 and x86-64 widely known as 32 bit and 64 bit respectively.

Before starting cPanel installation, it is a must to set a FQDN hostname & perl should be installed. Please click here to know more about setting a hostname. Install perl with command below.

# yum install perl -y

Now, that you have meet the basic requirements follow commands below to install cPanel on your server.

# cd /home
# wget -N http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/latest
# sh latest

Once done, you can configure WHM/cPanel which can be accessible on port 2086,2087/2082,2083 with your server IP.
