If you wish to add more languages to your phpBB application, your first step is to download the desired language pack so that it can be added to your application.
The language pack file that you download will be an archive that will have to be extracted. This process will create a new folder with the name of the language pack that you downloaded and you will see there are two directories in it:
- language
- style
You will have to upload these directories in your phpBB folder. This can be done through File Manager in cPanel or through FTP.
Your next step is to install the language pack. This can be done with the following steps:
- Login to your phpBB admin panel
- Go to the ‘Customize’ tab, then to the ‘Language Management’ section and click on ‘Language packs’.
- If you have correctly uploaded the files for language pack, they will be displayed with an ‘Install’ button next to them. You can click on this button for the installation.
