In DirectAdmin, you can copy or move data files with the help of the File Manager tool.
To Copy or Move Files in DirectAdmin File Manager
1. Log in to the DirectAdmin panel.
2. Scroll down to the System Info & Files section and click on File Manager.
The File Manager window will open where you can browse all the files and folders of your hosting account.
3. Browse through the folders and tick the boxes beside the files you want to copy or move.
4. Click on the three dots on the taskbar and select the Copy/Move option.
Note: You can find the Copy/Move option when you right-click on the file or folder you want to copy or move.
5. The COPY/MOVE window will open. Determine the path by browsing the folder location and select the COPY or MOVE option as per your wish.
To Copy or Move Folders in DirectAdmin File Manager
The procedure is exactly the same as copying or moving files.
1. Tick the folder you want to copy or move and, click on the three dots on the taskbar and select the Copy/Move option.
2. The COPY/MOVE window will open. Determine the path by browsing the folder location and select the COPY or MOVE option as per your wish.
Note: Alternatively, you can
- Move the files or folders by selecting the folders/files and dragging them to the folder in the browsing panel directly.
- To Copy, select the folders/files and hold the Ctrl key while dragging them to the folder in the browsing panel.
A success message will flash on the screen and, DirectAdmin will copy or move your file/folder.
