You can easily configure emails on your Android mobile with some few easy settings. Make sure that your mobile has an active internet connection and then follow the steps mentioned below to configure the email settings:
Incoming Email Settings:
- On your Android phone home screen, go to ‘All programs’ and press on the ‘Email’ icon to load the application
- Now click on the other (POP3/IMAP) option present under the ‘Choose a email provider screen’
- On the next window, type in the login credentials of your email account and click on ‘Next’
- Define the incoming email settings for your email account, select POP3 or IMAP for the incoming email protocol
- Verify the login credentials – username & password
- Enter the POP3 / IMAP server address
- Select the security type of the connection (None/SSL/TLS)
- Select the server port in case it differs from the default one and click on ‘Next’
Outgoing Email Settings:
- Make sure that there is a tick in the ‘Require sign-in’ check box
- Verify the login credentials and the SMTP server settings
- Select the security type of the connection (None/SSL/TLS)
- Select the server port in case it differs from the default one and click on ‘Next’
- The information that you have entered will be verified. To complete the setup, click on the ‘Finish setup’ option
