Backing up your website’s database is one of the most important activities that you should carry out periodically, as this can keep you away from headaches that can be caused because of the loss of data.
Most of the application that websites run off these days, mostly have a back-end database. If something goes wrong in the database, either accidentally or if the database gets corrupted because of malicious activity, the entire database you have worked on is gone if daily backups are not taken.

If I am making larger changes on my website or upgrade to the latest version, or I just posted some great content, I go ahead and download the copy of my database backup for a better safety.
Backup database in cPanel
Step 1: Login to your cPanel.
Step 2: Click on Backup that is under the files section.
Step 3: Now under the Download a MySQL Database Backup section, click on your database name, in this case, username5_wordpress.
Step 4: On your local machine, go to the folder of your web-browser where the database backup is downloaded and you should now see the compressed .sql.gz file.
Now have a copy of your database that is locally stored safely on your own computer. If you delete something by accident or having a database problem, you can then simply restore your database from that backup.
