MilesWeb offers free domain transfer with their cheap hosting plans.
Logging into GoDaddy’s Dashboard
Log in to your GoDaddy’s dashboard & select the domain you wish to transfer.
For Old Dashboard:
- Click on Manage DNS. You will be directed to a new page with domain information.
For New Dashboard:
- Click on Manage in this dashboard.
Unlocking the Domain Name
For Old Dashboard:
- Locking your domain prevents unauthorized domain changes, including transfer to another registrar.
Look for the option Lock. Click on Manage. Set it to Off & click on Save. If the domain isn’t unlocked you won’t be able to initiate the domain transfer.
For New Dashboard:
- Scroll down below to Additional Settings. Click on the Domain lock option to turn it Off. It will take a few seconds to turn off.
Getting the Authorization/EPP code
Authorization/EPP codes are used when transferring a domain. Every authorization code is unique and provides an extra level of security, safeguarding domain names from unauthorized transfers.
For Old Dashboard:
- In the old dashboard, click on Email my code. You will receive an email with a random 5 to 8 digit code.
For New Dashboard:
- In the new dashboard, click on the option Transfer domain away from GoDaddy.
- You will be redirected to the below page:
- Click on Continue with transfer. It will take you to the below page:
- Here click on Click here to see Authorization Code and you will see the code as below:
- You can just click on Copy to Clipboard option to copy the code. The Authorization/EPP code is also sent to your registered email address.
Simply, provide the Authorization/EPP code to one of our representatives & we will initiate the domain transfer. Once we initiate the domain transfer, you will receive an email to approve the domain transfer request. Open the email, click on the link which will approve the domain transfer request. Once you do, domain will be transferred in 4 to 5 days from GoDaddy to MilesWeb.
