Customize Your cPanel Branding

When you log into the cPanel account for the first time, you will notice there is a special branding theme that typically displays cPanel logos and links to their standard documentation. However, you can easily personalize this by replacing the cPanel logos with your own and linking to customized documentation that you created.

This customization is particularly beneficial for offering guides that are customized to your reseller services. Having specific documentation not only enhances the customer’s experience but also minimizes support inquiries, making it a valuable addition to your service. 

1. Login to WHM.
2. The customization link in the cPanel section can be found by typing ‘customization’ into the search box.
3. Below is a breakdown of the available options for customizing your branding. After making changes, click the Save button.
4. To remove a logo or favicon, click the trash can next to it and click Save.

Change Default Web Templates

Here are the rewritten points:

• Default Website: This displays when a user accesses a website that points to your server but isn’t configured in Apache.
• Account Moved: This message appears when a user tries to access a website that has been relocated on your server.
• Connection Selection: This error occurs when there’s a connection issue or firewall problem preventing access to a website on your server.

The templates provided by cPanel can be modified by logging into WHM >> “Account Functions” >> “Web Template Editor”.

What if you have to update templates on multiple servers?

We know that all templates are stored at the following location:

/var/cpanel/webtemplates/<username>/<language>/<yourtemplatename.tmpl>

here,

• <username>: Under this username, all accounts will use the same template.  
• <langauge>: The language use for cPanel
• <yourtemplatename.tmpl>: It is the template file name with .tmpl extension.

Alternative Method:

For ResellersStore templates that you’d like to make available only to accounts that you manage within a template-specific directory in the /home/reseller_username/var/cpanel/reseller/site_templates/your_template_name  directory.

Updating Public Contact Information

1. Access the Customization link in the cPanel section of your WHM.
2. Click the Public Contact tab.
3. Enter your Public Company Name.
4. Enter your Public Contact URL.
5. Click the Save button.
