In cPanel, the names and usernames of databases are prefixed with the account’s username. To add username prefix is a default setting that you can disable from the WHM panel.

To Disable Username Prefix for Databases and Database Users

1. Log in to the WHM panel with your root account.

2. Select Server Configuration from the navigation menu.

3. Click on Tweak Settings.

A panel with many configuration options will appear.

4. Select the SQL tab.

Here, you will find various options to manage SQL-related settings.

5. Look for the Require a username prefix on names of new databases and database users option and click on the Off button.

6. Click the Save button at the bottom.

With it, the WHM panel will save the settings and disable the username prefixes on names for new databases and database users.
