This article illustrates the complete process of installing the Mambo application through Softaculous. Here are the steps:
- Login to cPanel.
- Go to ‘Softaculous Apps Installer’ and click on any of the options displayed under ‘Categories’. The Softaculous installer page will be displayed.
- Type ‘Mambo’ in the search text box and press enter.
- Click on the ‘Install’ option and the installation page will be displayed.
- In the list box – ‘Choose Protocol’, select the protocol.
- In the list box – ‘Choose Domain’, select the domain for which you want to install Mambo.
- In the text box – ‘Directory’, enter the name of the directory where you wish to install the Mambo application or accept the default value given.
- In the text box – ‘Site Name’, enter the name of the website.
- In the text box – ‘Site Description’, enter the website description.
- In the text box – ‘Table Prefix’, enter database table prefix or accept the default value given.
- In the text box – ‘Admin Username’, enter the administrator username.
- In the text box – ‘Admin Password’, enter the administrator password.
- In the text box – ‘Real Name’, enter the administrator’s display name.
- In the text box – ‘Admin Email’, enter the website administrator’s email address.
- Click on the ‘+’ icon for expanding the ‘Advanced Options’ section.
- In the text box – ‘Database Name’, enter the name of the database that has to be created for the application or accept the default value given.
- If you don’t wish to receive any email notifications when the Mambo application updates are available, select the check box – ‘Disable Update Notifications’.
- In the list box – ‘Backup Locations’, you can select a location where the application backups will be stored.
- In the list box – ‘Automated Backups’, you can determine whether or not Softaculous should take periodic backups of your application.
- For receiving the complete configuration information after the installation process is completed, enter an email address in the section – ‘Email installation details to’.
Re-check all the mambo installation options and configurations that you have done and click on ‘Install’.
